With 30+ years of research, economic analysis, and writing experience I know the foundations of the field but each year, I strive to learn more about the field and extend my knowledge base. I love the challenges of the work and getting to know my clients. I was awarded my MPIA/ESD from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public and International affairs from the single best university in the world - The University of Pittsburgh and hold a bachelor of arts in anthropology, political science, and Latin American studies from the same esteemed university. #H2P.
My superpower is that I can figure out any complex problem to get the client what they need which means that our clients can rest easy regardless of the challenge of the task put before me or hurdles put in my way. I work tirelessly to reach our collective goals.
Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my husband, our kiddo, two cats, and dog or planning a gardening project that my husband ends up implementing.

A certified ‘yapper’, I understand the power of words and know how to translate that into effective marketing and communications campaigns that work to tell your story and propel you ahead of the rest.
In my previous role, I worked closely with clients to first assess and then develop a strong marketing and communications plans to meet their needs. I am a skilled copywriter and editor who understands the role that dynamic social media content, informative press releases, robust op-eds, and strong relationships with the media play in achieving client goals.
Understanding the importance of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), I received my DEI certification from Cornell University in July 2022. Through rigorous coursework, I learned techniques to advance equity, break down barriers in the BIPOC community, and foster a more inclusive environment. I now use my certification to guide client initiatives to create more equitable and inclusive solutions.
I like to stay busy and active in my community, so I serve on the advisory board of the Emerging Erie Fund, the board of the Northwestern PA Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), a member of the Erie County Democratic Committee, and secretary of my church’s parish council.
In my spare time, you can catch me watching an unhealthy amount of reality TV (Love Island or Vanderpump Rules anyone?), spending time at animal shelters, and roaming the city for the best vegetarian food – if you ever find yourself in Erie, PA stop by El Amigo for the best veggie quesadilla.

I obtained my bachelor’s of science degree from Grand Valley State University. From there, I went on to earn my master’s degree in history from Eastern Michigan University and a master’s degree in education from the University of California, Riverside. All that to say, I spent many years in the classroom–from kindergarten to collegiate–as well as numerous roles in political campaigns and community organizing.
I view consulting and the way I work with people much like I view walking on sidewalks; someone can walk on a sidewalk, getting to and from their destination, and experience the sidewalk as merely a tool of travel. I view sidewalks and collaborative work in a different way. A sidewalk is a public good for use by everyone. If you travel on the sidewalk with awareness of others and learn more about your surroundings along the way, the journey can not only get you where you need to go but make you a better traveler for next time. That’s how I view working with clients: if we work together and consider the journey as well as the destination, not only will the journey be more pleasant but you never know what improvements to the final destination we can find along the way.
When I’m not helping to solve problems for clients, I enjoy being active, checking out the latest restaurant or brewery in Philadelphia, or playing dungeons and dragons with my friends!

Operating within the triple helix framework of universities, business, and government in key positions throughout my 30+ year career, I recognize that fostering collaborative, analytical, and creative approaches among these sectors are essential to advance knowledge-based economic development and innovation.
I seek and get energized by opportunities to build relationships, apply strategic methodology, and guide cross-functional teams to tackle key issues and achieve organizational goals. Curious by nature, I am always interested in learning more to continually deepen my broad background.
Serving as a U.S. Navy officer started my career. Most recently, I served for 15 years as assistant vice president for economic development at Indiana University. In between, I held key roles at the Indiana Economic Development Corporation and in the energy and banking industries.
Within higher education, I previously served on the board of directors for the University Economic Development Association, served as secretary for APLU’s Commission on Innovation, Competitiveness, and Economic Prosperity, and completed a fellowship with the Academy for Innovative Higher Education Leadership.
Beyond work, I enjoy reading, pickleball, and mapping out my next adventure. Some of my past pursuits include climbing the Grand Teton, bicycling the California Coast, running the New York City Marathon, and completing an Ironman 70.3 event.

I'm a highly driven and product-focused graphic designer with extensive knowledge of various industry-standard applications. Though my passion and focus revolve mainly around 2D designs, I like to dabble in 3D if the project requires it. I'm a good multitasker, crafting high-production-value designs while also focusing on client and company needs. The only thing I love more the creating are my two cats and three dogs!
Diana Ferrara is a multifaceted graphic designer and visual artist with a keen eye for compelling design and a passion for storytelling through visual media. With experience spanning print, digital, and experiential design, she brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic thinking to every project. Currently based in Philadelphia, she is pursuing her education at Drexel University, where she continues to refine her craft and expand her artistic perspective. Originally from New Jersey, she draws inspiration from the world around her, both urban landscapes and the creative communities she engages with.
Diana has worked on a diverse range of projects, from branding and editorial layouts to website maintenance and marketing materials. In her role as a graphic designer here at Parker Strategy Group, she maintains and enhances company websites, ensuring a seamless and visually engaging user experience, while also designing and editing reports and marketing materials to align with brand identity. In her previous roles, she has contributed to projects such as branding for a contemporary theater company, logo design for a psychiatric telehealth company, merchandise for an apparel company, and promotional materials for various on and off campus clubs and organizations.
Her expertise spans branding, typography, editorial design, and digital media, with strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Webflow, and Figma. Whether designing comprehensive brand identities, illustrating content, or tackling side projects with adaptability and precision, Diana thrives on bringing ideas to life through innovative design solutions.
With a deep understanding of visual communication, she is dedicated to creating work that is both impactful and thought-provoking. When she’s not designing, you can find Diana exploring the beautiful city of Philadelphia, collecting way too many sketchbooks, or hunting for the best matcha latte in the city. She believes the best ideas often come from unexpected places, especially during late-night brainstorming sessions with a good playlist.
With more than 20 years of experience in financial management, I’ve done it all—from running payroll to leading multi-million-dollar audits, reconciling messy books, and implementing new accounting systems from scratch. I’ve worked across industries (engineering, manufacturing, healthcare, nonprofits, government—you name it), and every new challenge deepens my love for this work. I’m proud to bring both precision and strategy to every role I take on.
My superpower? I bring order to chaos. I don’t just close books—I dig into the numbers, identify risks, strengthen controls, and build efficient systems that stand the test of time. I’ve led accounting teams, mentored staff, and transformed financial operations for companies across the U.S.
Outside of work, my hobbies keep me energized and curious. I love reading and watching documentaries—especially anything about history. I’m always up for a hike or a good travel adventure, and I never say no to long walks with my Australian Shepherd, Percy. And when it’s time to unwind? You’ll find me watching horror movies (the scarier, the better).
